Roussin is a lawyer is from the Quimper area as well as being an amateur artist, and here he paints the marriage of one of his farmers in 1876, with a wealth of detail.  Sheets have been hung up to cover the walls of a barn at Kerien farm in Plomelin.  Each person is clearly identified and the only man in a suit could well be the artist himself.  This small picture, painted in Dutch style, is a valuable record of the lifestyle of country folk in the Cornouaille region at that time.
