Geneviève Asse or the ascetic of contemplation ... The three works acquired by the museum, not to mention the Verticale painting, collage I deposited by the Fonds national d'art contemporain, allow us to evoke the journey of this artist born in Vannes, who stays regularly on Île-aux-Moines.

The "Nude" of 1962 may seem singular in her artistic career. An attentive eye reveals the presence of a silhouette between appearance and disappearance, emergence and dissolution, in a subtle shade from which emerge different shades of white, beige and red. already blues.
