The famous Bigouden sculptor, best known for several memorials in the Cornouaille region, was not involved in the joint project for the Brittany pavilion at the International Exhibition “ Art and Technology in Modern Life » which took place in Paris in 1937, probably because of his sensitive character.  However, he does receive a commission for the Railways Pavilion.  He hands over the sculpture but then takes it back immediately, no doubt in response to sarcastic comments, and then keeps the work in his studio.
